Lucidity: a life worth living revealed through dreams

My first lucid dream began with a feeling of elation. For the first time, I knew this was a dream — yet I didn’t wake up. I was sitting by a pool, looking towards the mountains in the distance. I was leaving something behind, and there was a sense of sadness as I got up, knowing I couldn’t look back, that I had to climb through the gap in the hills and keep going until I came to the other side of that mountain range. I got up with a sigh and to my astonishment, found I could walk across the pond, the water giving slightly like soft ground. Something in my brain…
